Let us into your Google listing

Your Google Business Profile is the box that shows up when someone searches your name, with the stars, the photos and the phone number. Adding us as a manager lets us send review requests, reply to reviews and keep it looking like the business you've actually built. It stays yours.

Who to add

hv@huntvisuals.com as a Manager. Not Owner, that's you. A manager can post and reply, but can't remove you or delete the listing.

You'll need

The Google login that owns the listing. Usually whoever set it up, sometimes years ago.

Bonus

Step 3 gets you your own review link, the one to text a happy customer the day the job finishes.

Your progress

The steps

Google moved this out of its own app. You now manage the listing straight from Google Search, logged in as the owner.

  1. Log in to Google with the account that owns the listing.
  2. Go to business.google.com. It takes you to your listing, or lists your businesses if you've got more than one.Or just search your own business name on Google. If you're logged in as the owner, a panel with Edit profile and Read reviews appears above the results.
  3. If it says the business is not verified, or asks you to claim it, do that first. Tell us if it wants a postcard or a video, we've done it before.
  1. In the profile panel click the three dots menu, then Business Profile settings.
  2. Click People and access.
  3. Click Add. Email: hv@huntvisuals.com. Role: Manager.
  4. Click Invite. We get an email and accept it the same day. Until we accept, it shows as pending on your side, that's normal.

This is the link that opens straight onto the five stars, no searching. Text it the day a job finishes, while they're still pleased, and you'll get more reviews in a month than most businesses get in a year.

  1. In the profile panel click Ask for reviews. If you can't see it, it's under Read reviews, then Get more reviews.
  2. Click Copy link. It looks like g.page/r/…/review.
  3. Paste it into a note on your phone, and send it to us too. We put it in your review request emails and on your site.

One message with your review link in it. We accept the invite, connect the listing to your account with us, and from then on reviews and replies show up alongside your leads.

If you get stuck

Google says someone else owns the listing

A web designer, an old marketing company, or a previous owner of the business. Click Request access and Google emails them. They've got three days to respond before you can escalate it. Tell us who it was if you know, a direct message from you usually beats the form.

I can't see Business Profile settings anywhere

You're logged in as the wrong Google account. Click your profile picture top right, switch to the one that set the listing up, and search your business name again.

There are two listings for my business

Common after a move or a rebrand. Give us both, we'll get the wrong one merged or removed. Don't delete either yourself, the reviews go with it.

What will you actually do with it?

Send review requests to customers you tell us about, reply to reviews in your voice, keep the photos and details current, and post the occasional update. We never change your name, address, category or phone number without asking, because those affect where you show up.

Stars that match the work

Once we're in, the review requests go out on their own and the listing gets looked after. You just keep doing the jobs people rave about.
